Manifesto.
We don't believe design has to choose between beauty and purpose.
A beautiful experience without intention is decoration. A functional experience without character is easily forgotten.
We are interested in what happens between the two.
We believe every visual decision should have a reason, but that reason doesn't always have to be practical. Sometimes a detail exists to create tension. Sometimes restraint creates emotion. Sometimes the right solution is to remove something rather than add it.
Design is not about making everything louder, clearer, or more impressive. It is about understanding what something needs to be, and giving it exactly that.
We create experiences with purpose, but never at the expense of feeling.

DRAG TO EXPLORE
I’m Odriser, a designer and creative director from El Salvador. My path into design was never particularly linear. I moved between visual design, UI/UX, web design, and game development, always looking for different ways to understand how people interact with the things we create.
The more I designed, the less interested I became in design as decoration. I wanted to understand why something felt right, why an interaction made sense, why one composition communicated more than another. I became interested in the decisions behind the work just as much as the work itself.
Game design pushed that even further. Games are built from interconnected systems, where every decision can affect the way an entire experience feels. That way of thinking stayed with me even outside games.
Atter is where I bring that thinking together.
